On November 2, 2023, the inaugural Doge Day was created as an official holiday with the help of the National Day Calendar. In the spring of 2023, the first ever pilgrimage of Doge fans to meet the doge occurred. 23 souls voyaged from around the world to meet Atsuko and Kabosu in person at their home in Japan.
