Doge is the most famous dog in the world. She’s spanned every era of the Internet over nearly two decades. First, she became famous as Kabosu on Atsuko Sato’s blog. She was one of the first famous ‘dog influencers’ in Japan. Then was popularized on Reddit as a meme and named “Doge” by John Monarch. Finally, Doge entered the crypto realm as the face of Dogecoin.


But the first time Atsuko Sato and Kabosu were ever reconnected to the Doge movement was through The Doge NFT auction, which allowed Own The Doge to build a direct connection to the meme, dog, and owner back to the people.

In 2021, Atsuko Sato minted the iconic Doge photo onchain appropriately named The Doge NFT. The auction was won by PleasrDAO for a startling 1696.9 ETH. Approximately USD $4,240,000 million at the time, this makes it the fourth most expensive photo ever sold in the history of the world.

After the auction, PleasrDAO fractionalized The Doge NFT into the $DOG token and handed stewardship over to Own The Doge to be community owned forever by the biggest Doge fans around the world.

On the seventh day, Doge Pixels were then created, a visual representation of what part of the iconic Doge meme you control with your DOG tokens.

The total supply of DOG is 16,969,696,969 and the total amount of pixels in The Doge NFT is 307,200 (640 x 480 resolution). Thus, a single pixel is equivalent to 55,240 DOG tokens. 

To receive a Pixel, DOG holders can park DOG to mint one or more 'Doge Pixel' NFTs at the Doge Pixel Portal. Doge Pixel holders get access to Pixel Perks, mints, allow lists and drops known as Pixel Perks. There are also secretive subgroups for holders of specific parts of meme like the couch, flowers, snout, and eyes. 

One can effortlessly switch between holding DOG or Doge Pixels, it’s your choice how you wish to Own The Doge.
